When I snag some free time I'll be sure to check the stuff I've seen tossed around this thread

I should have some space. I'm taking a small writing rest, then I've got 4 or so new releases cropping up mid-through-late April I'll probably have something to say about.

"neither the vocals nor the instruments outshine the other, acting instead in full cooperation and allowed their own periods to express themselves"

I'm actually going to disagree with this, I think the noodly guitars are by far the selling point of the band and they definitely push the vocals to the back burner. Drums are good but a little low in the mix.

The guitars are definitely stunning, but the tight-knit cooperation in the vocal harmonies and the lead's expressive tone certainly have their own weight, esp. combined with the lyrics. The way the album sounds from my perspective is fairly balanced in all its components, but that's all just a matter of opinion.

it was just really awkwardly put together a lot of the time. i liked the tangling guitarwork, but the lacking song-writing, off-putting vocals and just the fact that the instrumentation (as intriguing as it was) more often than not didn't fit together almost at all. i don't know, awkward is probably the best word to describe this...

I can get that, because it does feel like things are barely tied together at times. Yet, I think it manages to hold those bonds together with grace. It's easy to see the other side, though.

Nowhere big, they play local shows throughout NJ fairly often

This was real cool but I also don't feel compelled to revisit it at all. Undeniable technical ability and great mix but the songwriting rarely sticks.
