If it weren't for Howard Jones this album would be a strong 2.5 - low 3. However, Howard is such a great vocalist that he instantly elevates any band he is in, in my opinion. The melody in Safety in Disbelief is quite memorable and has been stuck in my head, as have a few of the other choruses. The riffs are very monotonous though. I echo what the general sentiment seems to be in that the musicians sound pretty bored at this point. It's a shame because Howard deserves better.

No it would be terrible beyond saving.

Certainly agreed with you there. But the guy doesn't "make" an album.

Well actually I believe he does 'make' an album. Many people, myself included, would probably not give this album the time of day if it wasn't for Howards contribution.

I think you're missing my point while I agree with you (to a certain extent)

The other plus is the inclusion of Ryan's (bassist) vocals

Yeah man, just heard it. Really bland.

Yeah, this didn't do much for me either. Howard is still a great singer, but this seemed pretty basic as a whole.

loool speaking of Howard Jones, a friend of mine just recd me a song called Chasing Demons from Jasta (from Hatebreed) feat Howard Jones. It's kinda cool, and great vocal deliver as always. I added the album from 2017 if you guys are interested m/

Enjoyed this alot more than i expected, it’s pretty generic but howards performance makes it a hell of a lot better for me. With saying that the few sections with ryans vocals are really good too, always loved his parts in bleeding through.

Does anyone on this site actually like anything?? I've come here to read reviews on music that I love just to see 'eh' reactions all the time. What is considered to be good by you people??

Oh no you didn’t!

I’m not going to speak for the other writers on the site, but it’s called having standards and maintaining them. My scoring system is pretty tight (and honest) in my opinion and if it’s getting a “eh” reaction it’s an “eh” album.
