I’d be wary of ever repeating this approach. allegorical reviews are tough to pull off and imo this misses the mark by using too broad a concept (“life is complex, yet repetitive”) to convincingly tie the album to it. the “life is meaningless and I’m not that special” bent isn’t tackled with much finesse or charm either imo. props for using a risky approach as your first outing w/ this profile tho, and the prose itself is entertainingly composed.

I will probably repeat something like this if I do another review - i think its just how I write and think. I actually tried to make the "life is meaningless and in not special"-part without any charm as it isnt really a charming way to think. I think its just something I had to get out and have in the review somewhere.

Honestly, I though it was no better than good. There are too many moments where they add a wonderful build to subtley change dynamic and fail to capitalise on. Not a great fan of the snare tone in the mix either. like the kit is from the year 2000s with an 80s snare.
