I may be new to the whole "Post Rock" genre and have some rose coloured glasses on, but I would have upped the rating on some of the tracks. Never the less, a great review. :thumb:

The bands debut album completely owns this but I still think this is an excellent album. I could play this album once and put it on repeat several times without getting sick of it, I can't do that with any other album.

i believe this is their best album. Your Hand in Mine is probably one of the best written pieces of music instrumentally. First Breath After Coma is also an amazing track.

I love this album. I am pretty new to the genre, so I don't really know much, but I know I love this band.

First Breath After Coma is my favorite song on this album.

Amazing band, amazing album. The first time I heard these guys was such a unique experience. There's not one song I dislike on here, these guys are very talented.

This is a band I've wanted to get into for a long time. Now that I have I regret taking so long. Sheerly amazing.

Random rediculous stat: on my iTunes I have listened to 'Your Hand in Mine' 32 times (most plays on my itunes by 13 and I've only had iTunes since March of this year).

I never get sick of that song. This is SUCH a good CD that anyone who appreciates music, in a beautiful or moving sense, should own. This Message Edited On 10.30.06

Definitely a fantastic album and one of the staples of the genre in its present form. The Only Moment We Were Alone and Your Hand in Mine are both absolutely stellar and gorgeous tracks. The album as a whole flows beautifully as well.

Whether or not this is the greatest post-rock album is subjective.

However, I don't think you can really argue that since its release it hasn't been the most influential. So many bands now are aping the "shimmering layers of guitar" sound that EITS first dropped here.
