"i think people just like teens of denial more because there’s more contemporary song structures for CSH and the songs are catchier and more lighthearted, whereas this album is deeply intensive of emotion and has way more odd song structures/not as conventionally put-together songs that aren’t as catchy"
Pretty much yeah, plus the songs aren't like 15 minutes long

Will set out to make TOD his most accesible record so its safe to say it worked¿?, take in consideration thats their only album a lot of people on the site have heard as well lol

you do realise Car Seat's best song are very often the longer ones? Should I just assume no one here has hear The Gun Song or The Ending of Dramamine?

The Ending of Dramamine is their best song ye idk why How To Leave Town is classified as an EP since it’s 9 tracks and over an hour long (and is also fucking amazing) but whatever lol

The whole lo-fi thing and dramatic delivery was what I liked the most about Twin Fantasy. Not sure what to rate this

The two albums actually stand pretty equal for me and compliment each other well which is surprising since I've got a lot of nostalgia for the original.
The original was a thrill ride due to its messiness and exuberance capturing Wills youth really well whereas the new one is just a straight-up banger filled with complete confidence in his sound and (relative) experience. Been a while since I'd even listened to the old one but hearing the new version made me fall in love with it all over again.
Great review btw

"those are you got some nice shoulders" is such a legendary lyric

I've really been trying to get behind this band, but can't really get further than "this is pretty good...like the attitude". What is it that I'm missing CSH fans?
|
| |
Should I just dive into this or should I give the original a spin first?
|

I mean I dig Teens of Denial to the extent of like 3.5
..people get crazy though I feel like I'm missin' out

I was all over ToD when it was released though my opinion on it has cooled significantly since, still think it’s a great album though.
