your review made me listen to this album which I would have never done without having read it. I see what you mean about the music. It's pretty darn good. I had to stop after a song and a half tho. You've got to be fucking kidding me with those vocals. btw im not a messugha fan or a metallica fan but you couldn't ape james hetfield more if you tried. pos'd tho.

Too many awesome riffs on here to be deterred by the vocals alone.
Even in their early days they were doing some innovating stuff.
|

yeah I mean I respect the music, but those vocals grated my ear drums so fucking bad I was almost pissed off.

The vocals actually get less and less Jaymzah as the album goes on. I personally hear more Rob Zombie in the vocals than I do Hetfield.

yeah but Rob Zombie is a James Hetfield knockoff...alot of his WZ stuff sounds like James but super fuckin wasted drunk

album is cool but it's not that good.
it's essentially fanboyism of the big thrash bands.

It's better than the entire last decade of Meshuggah music

yes also the greatest record of all time

So what is better? 000000000000000 or 0-00-00-000-0-00-0-0-0000-0-0?

"it's essentially fanboyism of the big thrash bands."
I mean, it's saying a lot that this band made a better album with inspiration from the likes of Forbidden and Toxik than all of their material post-DEI.

DEI is potentially their best album but to blandly throw away their next four albums is nonsense.
