I thought their current singer was originally their drummer, then switched to lead vox (?)
maybe that's not true tho

Oh, you're right. I looked at the member timeline graph on Wikipedia wrong. He's also been there since day one, then started doing vocals in 2008.
|
| |
Good thing he did the switch, he's got some strong pipes

Probably slightly less accessible than their s/t album, but equally as good as their last two releases IMO.

Good album. Preferred the S/T.

I still need to listen to this

need to keep jamming this. i feel like it's going to be a slow burn. right now just nothing stands out and it's all so subtle (but not in a good way) compared to their last one.

k I gave it a 3.5... it's solid, that's how it was for me^ still a tad underwhelming but still has highlights

4 because singer is really good and the rest of the band compliment him well in their journey of trying different styles of rock music

I just discovered these guys because they're opening for The Contortionist early next year on a US tour. As fair as radio hard rock goes this isn't half bad. Singer's got pipes and the music has some balls.

agreed

I'm just youtubing random videos at the moment. So far it's been pretty good. Somehow that one song with Jacoby Shaddix (WTF?!) is actually pretty damn good. I feel like these guys probably put on a pretty good live show.

Jacoby’s alright man. Love the energy he puts into his work, even if he’s not aging too well

I totally get the complaints towards this album. But dammit I just love it so much.
|
| |
I'm undecided if I should go see them over Thank you Scientist... they play on the same day
singles on this one imho are underwhelming, but they're playing only the tracks I like from the s/t.... mmh
Whenever I hear them anyway I think how much I miss Fair to Midland. Unrelated but they nailed the hard radio rock thing so well
