You guys who dig this are missing out of if you haven't heard Anthriel's Transcendence that was released this year. It has my vote for best prog/power metal of the year. The album isn't even archived on this site but you can hear it all on Spotify. And it's actually metal, when this album feels mostly like proggy hard rock.
Btw yea Small Dark Lines, The Man Who Saw Through Time, Stars and Satellites, and Subliminal Freeways all kick ass.

Well Hawks?? I'm curious.

Man jamming now, this sounds sooooo much as good old Threshold. Morgan's voice is so similar to Mac's.

Ummmm half album and this is starting to drag hard in some parts... eeerrrr

Rating is dropping :/ Shame.
Dewi: I will admit the middle section of the second disc did drag a bit on first listen, but subsequent listens opened up those songs

Yeah man idk. They are one if not my favm prog rock outfit and this album felt soooo long. Didn't like the piano parts at all and I hated the closer. There are some great tracks though, reminiscent of Mac's era but overall, umm, not my best Threshold.

Agreed Dewinged, the album did feel a bit long. It's expected for prog metal, but this time it was a bit much.

Meh.... reminds of me 80's soundtrack cheese rock.

There's nothing particularly fresh or innovative about their sound, but the songs are always interesting. One of the most catchiest bands around.

They should have called this album "Dream Theatre and Celine Dion go to Disneyland"

How can this have the same average rating like For the Journey? This is clearly superior. Finally a new one next year. Finally!
