"Its a completely pointless comparison at any rate."
not as pointless as this one: "I know for a fact ABR has helped a lot more people through times of darkness than any trap "artist" ever will." 99% of the time trap doesn't strive to "help people through times of darkness" so what is the point on judging abr and trap on that

"Woah this is the first time that some people who enjoy metalcore, metallic hardcore and mathcore claim that ABR is average"
average is an overstatement
plz listen to more releases from all the genres/substyles you just named

yea i dont read pitchfork abr is just boring, release the same song over and over and over. also im a guitarist and find jb to be a lame tool who recycles the same riff patterns over and over and its just not exciting to listen to when youve heard other exciting songwriting/execution in the genre
also the post-rock-tinged guitar stuff he tries to do at times is so bland
i used to be into em when younger, still find constellations p fun, but yea nah dude
this album might not be better than r&r, but its DEF better than found in far away places
i could have wrote that album

every time a metalcore band records a polyrhythmic wankfest into one of their songs, each band member should pass a kidney stone

I actually love counterparts tbh but prog fillers need to stay out of metalcore, deathcore, melocore, etc.

"The only connective tissue is Uzi’s mumbling and his repetitive "Fuck bitches get money” lyrics. Lil Uzi must have been conscious that a general audience would not be able to tolerate his banshee wails through a 56-minute run-time because he tries emulating every rap style under the sun."
i like this, and def agree with the second half.
album would have been better if more streamlined and he focused directly on the few things hes good at (ie perfect luv and vs the world)
