Incredible review Jack, inspiring. Jamming the album now, pretty good so far.

I love this album. I think it's vague and varied enough to elicit repeat listens, but dense and focused enough so as not to feel too formless. It reminds me a little of the Smidley album in that sense. It feels very light despite some deeply fascinating content.

I still find the production a bit repetitive, like everything is wrapped up and sunk into some kind of filter throughout the whole album.

Yeah, that's very, very true. I think it grounds the album a little and holds it together, but I can imagine it being a tad frustrating.

I was going to review it and then realized one already exists putting a creative spin on it that I couldn't muster; that happens all the time with you around now ; )
excellent review, and this might be the find of the year (last year's Racing Glaciers, if you will)
