Sweet review, and nice to hear a perspective that's a lot more down to earth and examining how the record has aged with the times

Yeah, I used to have this at a 4.5. Then I gave it another listen after a while and gave it a 4. I see it sticking there but that is mostly due to nostalgia as I listened to this growing up.

I wholeheartedly disagree with a lot of what you said, but you are a fantastic writer so kudos anyway

Naturally I hugely disagree on the album but this is a great review and a very unique way of looking at something. I actually didn't get properly into this band until 2011, when I was 18, but I love it nonetheless.

I might jam this one day, the site makes me hate not having opinions on stuff. It doesn't sound like something I'd enjoy but you never know...

Good review.

"This album isn't one of those albums"

I like ska punk, think albums are 'fun' and whitewash 50 years of musical evolution to accommodate my vapid taste which needs to be gratified instantaneously and in great volume. I don't digest anything. This is one of those albums for me. Album is bestest ever.

While I gave an excellent review to this album and disagree your rating, I pretty much agree your view and adore such uniqueness of the album, as this album is not relatable to everyone, especially when you grow older and you do not have a similar traumatic experience.

I think you need to give this a few more listens. I was in that camp until I actually listened to the album.
