would not be surprised if it was you christopher

Don't hate this. The title track is the only song that drifts into 'better than painfully average' territory though.
|
| |
would probably be a 1.5 or a 2 if it wasn't for that song. I excuse this band so much but fuck it. Nostalgia reigns.

Atleast this is average compared to their last and really bad 3 albums.. Feed the Machine is a pretty good song, Coin For The Ferryman isn't bad, I really like the guitar solo in For The River, The Betrayal (ACT III) I like a lot.. Everything else at this album is average at best..
As a whole it's not insulting to my ears, but I hoped after many years that this new album would be more akin to The Long Road, which is the last album of Nickelback where the majority of songs were heavy and not ballads.. that album is still fun for me even now when I'm listening to different music styles and genres (progrock/metal mainly)

"I checked this out because Devin townsend praised the title track, admittedly I went into this expecting garbage, welp, I got exactly what I expected, Garbage."
Title track is pretty good though I have to admit.

"Man u cry because someone negged your review LUL It's like u were a youtube movie creator and u disable hands rating becasue someone give u one hand down below video. Review it's good but i'm for 100% many of u hate Nickelback because its Nickelback and everybody do that. I just wonder how many of u guys listen them whole discography."
lol when someone negs me because they disagree with my rating I have a problem with it because I'm still new to this and I'd kind of like to keep my approval rating up. You can like shitrock if you wish but don't give me petty negs because you don't like my opinion

the first two songs and The Betrayal (Part III) are the only songs worth your time. The rest of the album isn't as bad as most of the other shit that they've done over the years but that's the only thing that this has going for it.

The Betrayal (ACT III) is better than the title track, mainly the chorus and the guitar solo are better

Lol 5 negs with 0 explanations? c'mon now, are the Nickelback fans really as petty as all that
|

Don't get pissy about your negs dude. Good review I suppose, although listening to Nickelback at all is completely pointless.

1/5
That happens when you listen to an old wasted man who didn't write something worth listening to since more than a decade.

I like how you're accusing people of neg'ing you because they don't agree with the rating. I will say, I put the negative down because there's factual errors littered throughout that could have been easily avoided if you used Google (namely, the second paragraph).
The album has nothing to do with the Election/Trump.
"Feed the Machine" is about big name corporations (still political, but not towards the Election), and "The Betrayal" is about Judas.
"This Means War" was not a lead single.
Also, the whole first paragraph is just a shit talk about Nickelback/Chad Kroeger. It has nothing to do with the album, so why put it there?
Totally agree on the cringeworthy "Coin for the Ferryman" line though lmao.
