This starts strong but fades quickly. Lame tech death production and increasingly mundane songrwiting. That said, there's still enough riff and headbang here to keep me interested at the gym or something at least.

Review rating is too harsh for what is offered here, although I agree this is not the best Suffocation album out there.
When I saw the 2.0, I thought that Suffocation became a "slamming/gore" death metal band, which of course is not true.
And anyone looking for really "shallow" sound in tech death metal, there are much more representative examples.

Yeah, it's definitely not as good as their older stuff. Expecting them to sound like they did in the 90s is unreasonable though. That was half their lives ago. I have high hopes for their future. Kevin Muller is expected to become their main vocalist, and he's pretty talented.
