@ Rick

"but expect me to listen to more new stuff by GG over the course of the next few weeks"

Do that man. You'll that they're a great band, but somehow they're a very different and uncommon band. It's all a matter of acquiring the taste, as the band said once.

Only see this now. One of their best. One of the best prog ever. Great review as always. Nice to see all your discussions too. I learn a bit with that. Great. Pos.

@e21: I'm already familiar with three of their albums, so I've already been enthralled by their quirkiness and the ingenuity of their arrangements. It didn't take me long to get used to it though - like I mentioned earlier, the music is so charged with energy, creativity and surprising moments that I found it entertaining from minute 1.

Proclamation was the first song of them I heard btw. Best possible introduction to this band I guess

Same here ^ TPaTG was my first GG album, hearing that first sinister keyboard line was quite the enthralling and intriguing first impression to get from this band.

@ Intruder

Thanks, man. I'm glad you like our discussions. I suppose you like especially to see some of the "oldest progers" of the site sharing their point of views and experiences. In what concernes to me, it's great. But I'm afraid that we both, me and Jethro, usualy, have written comments that are too long for ordinary mortals. Ah, Ah, Ah, ...

You're welcome, dude.

Yeah, Djang0. This guys are really fascinating. I love all their classic stuff and I was always a great fan of Minnear. I think he is one of the greatest keyboardists ever. I always was fascinated by his taste to the Middle Ages music. The guy has really a very own keyboard sound and he is also a great composer and an excellent singer.

@e21, I understand your comment about the concept albums. The lyrics are always in connection from a song to another, sometimes musical themes are showing more than once, and everything is moulded together to form an entirety. So even the short passages or the most ''insignificant'' songs have their importance into the equation. I think of some epic suite songs that always content good and less good parts but as a whole, it can be pertinent, coherent and appealing.

I think it's short enough for an ordinary mortal, and surely for Intruder as well hahah

I really don't know, maybe it's short enough. Maybe. Ah, Ah, Ah,...

"why do you laugh like "the count" off seseme street?"

What do you mean about that? Don't forget that English isn't my first language.

I never thought that. It's very fun. Anyway, I always loved "Sesame Street".
