It has flaws but like I said more hits than misses.

"Sounds like 'Blue Lines' Z-Sides"
Doof that is a profoundly inaccurate description of this album

"I don't understand the hate for we got the power."
It's message is puerile ("ON A LE POUVOIR DE S'AIMER" en français dans le texte, non merci) and the song itself is obnoxious.
"A bloody great pop record with soul."

"You didn't 'grow up' with them, you listened to them a few times as a kid. It's been 12 years since Feel Good Inc was released now, the project has grown up and you should too. "
People who were happy and uplifiting kids once can grow up to become brainless teenagers. Pretty much what happened there. This album is a mess and there's practically nothing to save here.

"This album is a mess and there's practically nothing to save here"
It's messy but that's inherently bad.
Also "nothing to save" what does that even mean.

That there are so few enjoyable enjoyable moments in this that it's hard to pick them up.

Honestly I'm sure you're a nice guy and don't take this personally but if you think there's barely anything enjoyable on this you must be a miserable git.

Opinions and everything but still there's a ton of really cool moments

Why would you take it personally ? You know, if this album is incredibly good and my mind too narrow to understand it's genius, the only one missing anything is me.
You don't have to agree with me, and you're free to think that I'm an idiot. But reacting like this won't change my mind in the slightest degree.
Every single of my attempts to give to these Humanz another chance was just another painful moment. Songs like Momentz or Saturnz Barz made me question if I was actually listening to Gorillaz and not some cheap substitute.
I'm quite sure there are plenty more interesting records out there.

Idk both those songs sound like Gorillaz to me- not that I think they even had a definitive sound to begin with

Well now they definitly do, because it's what Gorillaz now is. For the better but mostly for the worse.

'Profoundly inaccurate'
I dunno, there's something 90s about this album that Albarn has carried through and that's not a compliment in this instance.
Dude's songwriting bores me to tears now.

I just jammed his solo album from 2014 and it was a beauty. Not quite pop music, due to clever twists and turns in the melodies to confound one's expectations and create an uncanny quality. The shimmers of neo-classical reminded me a bit of Son Lux actually. Has such a melancholy and profound vibe throughout, each piano chord feels like a revelation
Hope I find myself talking so fondly of this here album

The collabs are what characterise this album, and they are mostly very contemporary, so comparing it to Blue Lines seems bizarre
