It's a good [EP] album. I enjoyed it more than Dying Is Your Latest Fashion and for sure more than This War Is Ours, well let's not even go there. Different story, Different front-man. Anyhow, I feel the songs on this EP were better constructed than the ones that followed.

exactly how I feel. The albums are fun to listen to, but embarassing, and pretty fail at times.

This, however, is completely great

Great review, personally I would've given "The Ransom" a higher song rating, but that's just me.

This EP is still my favorite. I mean obviosly their new shit sucks major peen, but I still prefer the Ep to 'Dying Is You're Latest Fashion'. It has a better feel to it. and is less shiny.

Las Vegas quintet Escape The Fate should satisfy post-hardcore fans wanting their music to be as catchy, as it is aggressive. On 5 track EP 'There's No Sympathy for the Dead', enthusiasm & energy make up for some suspect lyrics & a lack of originality. The guitar-work is especially impressive, even incorporating a few solos in amongst the great riffs. The vocals will be more divisive, but all except the horrible closing growls are sufficient enough to add a sense of catchiness to proceedings. Overall, this is a promising start for this young band. Recommended Tracks: There's No Sympathy for the Dead, Dragging Dead Bodies... & As You're Falling Down.

Just downloaded this and listened for the first time since l think 2008. God damn if Ronnie didn't go to jail, and they made more albums in the fashion of DIYLF, it would be a totally different situation to the state Ronnie is in now. Such a waste of talent.

Yeah for real this was in constant rotation in 2007 or 8 for me. When he went to jail I was like oh man this sucks I can't wait til he gets out but then he got out and released FIR's first single.
