"don't most people just think of avril as like a one hit wonder tho? I don't really have an opinion either way but I remember people being into that one song when it was on MTV and then like, not giving a shit about her."

Nah she's sold like 40 million albums and her first three albums all were on year end rankings so like '02-'07.

Her last album debuted at number 77 on the Billboard chart and sold 7,000 in its first week. Oh wait, that whopping success was someone else...

You guys brought up the "where is she now" shit and then backed down hard when you realized that, in the real world, Brown has a small following.

Didn't Old debut in the top 20?

Also 77 for a guy who is squawking his ass off over these kinds of beats is pretty high tbh.

thx Evok, only picture in my phone that was small enough to be a profile pic lol

Also yeah that's bs Ghost. You're hyping her up to be this huge fucking thing when 1. She was a one-hit wonder and 2. Her relevancy in music is long gone and her influence is non-existant. Beyond the commercial success, she had and put no artistry to her music and her music is just toxic runoff of her genre and of her era.

Idk how I ended up reading this convo, but I kinda weirdly like Avril. Definitely not a One Hit Wonder either.

1. "Complicated"
Peak position: No. 2

2. "Girlfriend"
Peak position: No. 1 (one week)

3. "I'm With You"
Peak position: No. 4

4. "My Happy Ending"
Peak position: No. 9

5. "Sk8er Boi"
Peak position: No. 10

6. "What the Hell"
Peak position: No. 11

7. "Keep Holding On"
Peak position: No. 17

8. "Don't Tell Me"
Peak position: No. 22

9. "When You're Gone"
Peak position: No. 24

10. "Here's to Never Growing Up"
Peak position: No. 20

the fact that a conversation debating the artistic integrity of avril lavigne has lasted more than a half of a page is absolutely disgusting and everyone involved is a fuck
