"Josh Travis (Glass Cloud/Tony Danza) was supposed to do wonderful things for the band. He was supposed to usher in a new era, defined by a technical, atonal flair; one that would fit in nicely with the relentless chugging and overabundance of testosterone Emmure already rely on."
this is basically entirely wrong. emmure has always been and always will be the brainchild of frankie. to expect josh travis's inclusion to have any more than a slight impact would be quite dumb.

"but it doesn’t stop the chugging being as unvaried as ever."
this is seemingly even more ignorant than above. if you compare post-felony emmure to this, you can hear that the chugging is way less one-dimensional. russian hotel aftermath is basically one long chug pattern that never repeats itself. saying it's as unvaried as ever reeks of an early (and arguably premature) dismissal i.e. one jam --> review --> forget

and it's weird that you spend so much time on travis and frankie yet ignore everyone else. if you were at least going to represent the contributions of each member, you'd focus a lot more on frankie rather than half-assedly slagging his trademark. it seems quite pointless to hate a man for doing well with his craft. sure you don't like it, but to label it contrived and childish is perhaps a kind of overreaching.

but w/e, i'll probably end up writing something to counter this seemingly lazy critique.

but yeah you're right, my criticism is bad and your 150 words of "josh travis didn't turn emmure into tony danza waaaah, I hate frankie boo hoo" is some top-tier shit

you'll be staff next week with high quality output such as this 👍

Lol honestly man i just disagree with you

your criticsm seems to have way more to do with your own personal opinion of emmure than my writing

disagreeing with the notion that frankie basically IS emmure seems daft imo but ok w/e
