i dont see how this review could possibly help someone decide whether or not to by the album. unless they're gullible

The reviewer spent more time it seems taking pot shots at Anthony Kiedis and patting himself on the back than actually reviewing the album. That's not a review, that's professional wrestling trash talk.

Maybe if you change it around to only 2 or 3 song sound similar then you've got it right.

Hey JohnnyBlack, you are so correct about this review

this album was all a hype, playing only Dani California on the radio and stuff because thats like the only song that was good.

all they do if live off their hit single, and thats IT! (you guys frigging know that)

...Or because it was the first single. Genius. And I highly doubt any band could live off of their "hit single" for 20+ years. Damn.

I think they could have made this album so much better if they just kept the songs shorter

how could you give it a one?? there's so many terrible albums out there that got at least a 1.5!! You obviously didn't buy it, you just hate the chili peppers. You can't judge an album just because of it's first single. D-bag. sorry don't ban me.

i hate the red hot chili peppers.
and this album looks like their worst IMO
but most of the time with bands their later works are horrible in my opinion.
like korn and green day.

Thats because the album IS terrible. RHCP spending so much time on something like this.......... They just make 1 good single (yea ill admit Dani California is good) But the fact that they DID something like this..............We just got ripped by them.... i would rather watch the golf channel rather then hear their 2nd disk...

this album represents the Horse**** of the music industry, SIMPLE as that.

Sorry for my unorganized rant...I was typing off the top of my head.

He just said that the first single was the only song that's good.

I respect your opinion on the album, but I do not believe this was a well-made review. While I agree that the album's lyrics are lackluster, when have the Anthony's lyrics ever made sense? I think you have to look at his voice like any other instrument. In termsw of pitch he can have cool lines, but the words are just there. I do think this album represents a low point in his singing, and I was disappointed by the vocals. But your review seemed intent on mocking Keidis, and while you did note the musical abilities of the rest of the band, I think that shouldhave counted for more than you acted like.
With more specific details and a less malevolent approach, I think this could be a good look into the problems of the album.

Sorry for this second rant.

You have to understand major labels, RHCP is signed under a major label (Warner Bros.)

What is the major record labels goal??? TO MAKE MONEY....not to release great music. If you want great music start by looking in the INDIE section.

Warner Bros basically controls RHCP, all RHCP needs to do is to make a Hit single and release it on a snazzy double album (the album is a snoozefest, if you dont already know) Following that pattern makes the MOST MONEY for the LEAST EFFORT. MAYBE RHCP was great before, but this album is truly a sell-out.

I asked like 50 people if they heard of RHCP, the people who said yes I asked what songs do they like....Pretty much ONLY Dani California. They judge how good a band is because of ONE song....THIS IS WHAT WARNER BROS. WANTS.

C'mon guys, the puzzle solves itself...This is mainstream trash. The End.

I actually found the album to be quite good, but as for the review, all you are doing is giving your own opinians and not even supporting any of this with an actual review. It's a little understandable as its your first review, but you really need to write a review, not a rant, and make it longer by actually adding in information. As the introduction, the rap was terrible...
