To be fair it's a pretty solid 2, there were a couple songs I kinda enjoyed but I have not reason to return to it, it's probably better than most bro-country albums at the very least.

I went into it ready to slap it with a big ol' 1 if necessary and it managed to find its way pretty well above that level.

A little bit, but if you listen to his work in We Are Harlot, it's not too different tone wise. Maybe the inflection a bit, but it's not too noticeable to me.
