Sounds enticing. A less theatrical Earthside could be right up my alley.

In terms of basic sound/output they sounded similar to me, but these guys are significantly more subtle, from the instruments to the vocal delivery.

I think the Chino comparison was perfect. And if he did the vocals on this it could be amazing.

I'm getting a Skyharbor meets Circus Maximus vibe, personally.

It's fairly enjoyable, but I didn't find it terribly compelling. I do like the vocals more than some others seem to, and agree that they fit the music, but do agree he could use some improvements, which I'm sure will come with time if the band keep at it.

I hope they do, they could be pre cool if they keep at it

Tho I completely disagree with people calling this such an amazing debut and whatnot. There's a lot of hyperbolic praise surrounding this.

Still ain't too bad.

Was really interested to hear this. On paper it looks like exactly what I've wanted to hear lately. But it ends up not leaving much of an impression for whatever reason. Still glad I tried it though, 2017 has been seriously lacking in music of this style.

It's ok though, Karnivool will return this year with an album. All will be better soon.

Good review Mars, pos.

That said, I am digging this but not so much the singer. Sometimes he sounds like a bad impersonation of Chino Moreno and even goes off key, but the band has great potential.

Hope they keep delivering.
