this reminds me a lot of IIOI's last effort. pretty good stuff prob around a 3.5 after one listen. nothing that is blowing me away tho

I thought this was decent on a first listen with it sort of in the background. Will definitely go back to it now I've seen so many positive comments about it - I felt the same way about Sorority Noise's album last year on first listen, but then listened to it again a few months later and couldn't believe how good it was and that I'd slept on it so long.

pretty catchy stuff and good guitar riffs but im just not getting hooked in to listen to more than a couple tracks at a time

Oh wow they sound like Transit.
The corny melodrama of the tr00 pop punk bands has given way to the "Head in the Clouds" sound of Jimmy/Tansit/Weezer with a fair bit of American Football thrown in there.
I don't hate it, I like the little flairs of tapping and stuff like that the guitars will do. The songwriting is safe but strong.
This will grow on me but I can't get past the fact that it reeks of early 2000's college emo or some shit
