KRS is easily the most thought provoking and poetic emcee to ever live. But alas I'm talking to a buncha kids who haven't heard his discography once and think they know him because they heard some singles

"KRS is easily the most thought provoking and poetic emcee to ever live" is an anagram that, when solved, states that "A Conceitednesses Reemerge Highrise Hi A Pimply Lookout Took Tv Tv Tv"
Coincidence? I think not

"So when I approach reviewing a "politically charged album" I shoudknt discuss the politics?what?"
Nah that's not what I said, just that your personal politics should not be the focus or even something you use as a reference point for the review (I.e. "Here's how RTJ think vs how I think), you didn't so much discuss their political views or how well/poorly they argued their points as you did take issue with the political views themselves and form some rebuttals. This should't be a debate piece it should be a review imo.
"What you call bias I call common sense."
I'm not even going to argue your points but you should know that everyone thinks their side is the right side, you're no different and that's why forming such a personally centred thought piece doesn't work as a review, which should aim to be level headed and appear objective.
"You may be forgetting I have three degreez"
Congratulations I guess but unless you have those degree in reviewing, music theory, or definitions that's wholy irrelevant in our discussion lol. Though it may help explain why you're so eager to discuss politics.

"you didn't so much discuss their political views or how well/poorly they argued their points"
"They portray the us as Nazi Germany yet the only evidence they have to back it up is complaining about all lives matter ass white folk"
I did discuss how poorly they argued, multiple times and extensively. There's one example^
I don't agree with your criticism, thanks anyway

I really hope Trump tweets about how bad Run The Jewels is
Dopey lyrics and not enough rhythm. Give Killer Mike a salad! Run the Jewels are a disgrace. Sad!

C'mon man I didn't say there was no point at which you did it, but I'm sure you can acknowledge that a big chunk of this review is dedicated to you refuting their political points with your own.
But fair enough then, all I can do is offer my feedback. Looks like other people were into what you did anyway.

Well I don't think they are mutually exclusive ideas:
By countering their points I was showing how badly their points were argued by mocking the naive assumptions they made.
I appreciate the criticism though I just don't think it's as bad as you say

Starting off with negative assumptions and attacks against the audience and fans isn't really a good way to lead into a review.

"His style has regressed severely since his magnus opus R.A.P. Music"
small correction: magnum opus.

I still stand by my opinion that you are a fairly talented reviewer, it's just that i never want to read reviews where it feels like the reviewer thinks of himself as better than the artists. Personal irk there.
Otherwise, I disagree with your review, but hey, opinions. What can you do.

entertaining review even though I disagree with most of it (except El-P being on top of his game). seems like you were really disappointed by the political side of it, maybe you don't agree with them on things and that's off putting

This review actually has some good points, especially in pointing out the constant hypocrisy of the record... The worst example of which being the line "We hear the same sound comin', it sounds like war and it breaks our hearts" in the final track. If war and violence really "break their hearts" then why are they endorsing rioting and looting on the rest of the album?
However, I still find it musically enjoyable despite this
