I'd suggest listening to the rest of what I consider the core "pop" album: Here Come the Warm Jets, Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy) and Before and After Science.

From thereon, this is where it gets a bit difficult since Eno collaborated with pretty much everyone. My essential picks for his ambient/non-pop material would be:

No Pussyfooting (with Robert Fripp), 1973

Discreet Music, 1975

Cluster and Eno (w/ Cluster), 1977

The Ambient series of albums (Music for Airports, The Plateaux of Mirror, Day of Radiance, and On Land), 1978-1982

Apollo, 1983

The Pearl (w/ Harold Budd), 1984

Thursday Afternoon, 1985

Compact Forest Proposal, 2001

Another Day On Earth, 2005

Lux, 2012

There's no exact right way to do this, but if I had to pick one from the selection of the ambient works, I'd suggest listening to Apollo or The Pearl first from these and then so on.

I'm doing quite well, trying to get enough money for school this fall. Figured I'd really get back to writing, so I'm making an attempt to write almost every day. How bout you, Tuna? How's life treating ya?

Awesome review Fripp, and yea our conversation was helpful along with that list of his essentials you posted on the previous page. I'm curious about this and the new app, but will continue to jam more of his stuff, like The Pearl, before checking this and The Ship out.
