"I remember this being such a huge disappointment for me when it was first released xD"
"Same, but it's grown on me a tiny bit over the years"
That's a shared feeling here.
"1. Intro (maybe Re-Entry but idk maybe something shorter)
2. Crack Addict
3. Eat You Alive
4. Gimme the Mic
5. Build A Bridge
6. Shot
7. Just Drop Dead
8. Phenomenon
9. Creamer (Radio Is Dead)
10. Almost Over
11. Let It Go
12. Thieves (bonus track)
13. Armpit (bonus track)
14. Behind Blue Eyes (bonus track)
15. Lean On Me (Japan bonus track)"
Great idea! I loled at the Japan bonus track
Here is my take:
1. Introver (I've always though re-entry was lame)
2. Eat You Alive
3. Crack Addict
4. Down Another Day
5. Underneath the Gun
6. The Only One -- even though the lyrics have aged like milk
7. Phenomenon
8. Red Light Green Light
9. Gimme the Mic
10. Press Your Luck
11. Build a Bridge
12. Head for the Barricade
13. Drown
Bonus tracks
Armpit -- because it's silly
Almost Over -- because it's very much in the more mellow/alt vibe of the album but couldn't really place it in my alternative tracklist without making the whole album too long
Just Drop Dead
I never cared much for Behind Blue Eyes

Forgot about Press Your Luck actually when I re-did the tracklist. I'd include that too.

Conscious effort.

Almost Over could've been an absolute heat if they put in a heavy fuck breakdown instead of that mellow bridge imo

I don't mind the bridge, the guitar tone is nice in it (similar to Underneath the Gun); if anything I think it's the chorus that's a bit out of place.

Just heard the B-sides from their Smelly Beaver album and I must say it's definitely way better. Wish they released that as an official LP instead of this drivel

Which tracks were they
|
| |
Album Rating: 2.0
Shot, Armpit, Why, Poison Ivy, Relentless, Masterbation, Until the End, Just Drop Dead, Crack Addict, Cowgirls From Hell, Lean On Me, Let It Go, and When It Rains. The last one being probably my favorite song by them.
But yeah all the ones I mentioned pretty much rule and would've made a sweet album that's on par with their best material, with the exception of Why which is just meh

The only redeeming thing about this band is Wes and even he is not here. So ye.

Ice cold take. Rivers and Otto are just as creative and tight as Wes.

Bassist goes alright thats fair. I just think they don't carry the band like Wes does!

In similar lines to the re-tracking of this album, if this was a 10-12 track album I would likely be inclined to give it a higher rating. I can muster a defence for Eat You Alive, Gimme The Mic, Lonely World, Phenomenon & Creamer, but the rest can pretty much get in the bin.
5/10 serviceable tracks isn't bad, but 5/18 makes the whole thing look pretty bad.
