Let's not pretend this album is nowhere as good as Dark Roots. While it's impressive hearing the band performing on such high level obviously there's no standout track on this album. Take back to Dark Roots and you have an A-Side filled with singles material. The lyrics were actually relatable or at least you knew what the song was about. There's no song on this album that matches Rise Up, A Day in the Death, True American Hate, etc...

Enjoyable, but forgettable

The leads really help step this album up. I am hoping for more fusion-esque leads in the future.

Reminds me of the leads in the most recent Soilwork albums.

"Enjoyable, but forgettable" 2.0. LOL

This is easily a 3.5 even if you're not a die hard Testament fan like me.

nah this is better than Dark Roots. The Pale King is up there with Formation material.

dig this a lot more than Dark Roots personally, thrashes harder than most of that album. might be my favorite post-reunion Testament album tbh, or tied with Formation at least

Band can do no wrong. This is more consistent than Dark Roots, for what it's worth.

Ah its weird album for me, its really cool, but also not that great at same time.

I like that its heavier than the old Testament of yesteryear but yeah i dont think the songs are as memorable or as good. Definitely decent album.

However this is still solid stuff.

New anthrax was better this year tho.
