18 drags a bit yea, too much of a 'play' twin brother sometimes but it does have some gems imo.

So this is pretty damn good. I usually am not a fan of when he goes "full guitar rock" but it sounds good here. My favourite is definitely Are You Lost... and it has an awesome EBM vibe a la Covenent or Apoptygma Berzerk.

Best music video I've seen in ages. I am a huge fan of Merry Melodies from way back in the day so yeah

That video is so well animated, but it's the same anti-technology schtick that 40 something pseudo-intellectuals tend to spout. So disappointing

its not nicely animated, it has a 1920s-1940s look to it but theres literally nothing in direction or even fluid action to make it feel like its a piece from that era. just a bunch of static, flash cartoon bullshit with an even worse "meaning" backing it.

I've only really seen negative reviews for this outside Sput. That opener and Break are sick

I don't know why people say it's a bad album, but then again, most are accustomed to Play and don't care when he's experimenting. Others want ambient stuff or simply dismiss him because it's Moby. Anyway, he doesn't care anymore. The man mentioned in a couple of interviews he doesn't need to put out albums since the previous ones still pay his bills. That's why he releases the stuff he wants/likes under his own imprint and does not care about sales.

I just hope he's gonna tour again in the near future. His shows are really fun and this album would be very energetic live.

The bonus track The Nighttime is fucking beautiful. My favorite track with Are You Lost in the World right behind

Watched the music vid for Are You Lost for the first time and I almost wish the album wasn't so harshly brickwalled and clipped but at the same time it wouldn't have as much punch. Hopefully a vinyl comes out that has that perfect balance of punch and clarity. Production and mixing on the vocals is much better tho. Also that edit of the song is cool, wish the original had a similar structure with the final lyric of the verses directly leading into the chorus

The vinyl sounds absolutely stunning. Retains dynamics lost on the CD (although I actually didn't mind it at all) but still sounds like a brick wall of fury. It actually sounds a lot more like a punk album with electronic influences because of how up front the guitars are now
