It's too clean for music of this style, imo. It's not horrible, but it sounds almost flat

it works with the melodies they would sound awkward without some clean production

It works for the clarity, yeah, but I'd want some thump or weight behind the drums and guitars tbh. Like I said, not horrible, but pretty flat.

And ironically, the melodies sound awkward af with the rest of the album anyway; it just shouldn't have been implemented, imo.

Took me a bit to get into it but really digging this. Fun vibes for grind without becoming overly tongue-in-cheek.

It's a bit similar to the way Gridlink did it on their last album

the reaction here is weird

normally id not be into the melody shift and transition to cleaner production but their songwriting is better on here than dirge

Melodic grind? I can't even imagine what that sounds like. Should have downloaded this but forgot, damn.

Aw :/

I will probably check out a song or two, but there are so many fucking albums that have been recommended to me on this site that I may have to put this on the backburner if it's not that essential.

"Melodic" grind has had its moments. GridLink and Beaten To Death come to mind.
