Seeing these guys this coming Sunday night at The Palladium in Worcester, MA. They are performing this record in its entirely, along with a second set comprised of cuts from other records. Should be fun!

Indeed. Saw them a few years ago with DT on a co-headliner, but the set wasn't as long and they had some sound issues at the beginning of their set. Still a great show, but I am pumped to see them again!

Good show last night, but once again, Insomnium was plagued by equipment problems. Markus Vanhala's guitar rig was cutting out at the start of the first set, which took about 5 minutes to get going. Then, near the end of the Winter's Gate performance, Niilo's bass cut out, and it was a good 10 minutes before the techs figured out it was the bass itself and not to rig that was causing problems, after which they quickly switched him out and got him back online.



Regardless, the show was still great. They took all the problems in stride like true professionals, and substitute guitarist/vocalist Nick Cordle was shredding everyone's face off. Although he doesn't play with the same nuance, his lead skills easily match those of Vanhala on a technical level. He covered the clean vocals on all the tracks, as well.



I also took a shot in the ribs when the pit spilled out into my spot, as well. All worth it!

Sadly, no. We were running pretty late that night, and only got to see Oceans of Slumber and Insomnium. Cool that you play with that band! I will have to catch them sometime if they (you) are in the area again.

Aw, too bad. The whole night was pretty great, though Winter's Gate was obv the highlight. Yeah, please do! We play July 4 in Worcester, then RPM fest in Montague on Aug 25
