This alb needs more attention on this site, every song on this is remarkably catchy with really extraordinary details hidden behind the main riffs (allusion to the album cover I feel like) right now She goes on, Four Seasons, and All I Ask are some of my all time favs

Lyrics on this album are very human

I also am always fascinated by the little musical elements being constantly added all over the place, even while tracks are fading out!

Neil has such a way of intertwining words with timeless melodies. he uses lines that might look generic or uninspired on their own, and imbues them with such amazing feeling and resonance. it's a big part of why I consider him the greatest pop songwriter of all time (Paul McCartney agrees with me!)
I don't like them as much as Crowded House, but it's pretty sad that not a single Split Enz album has a review on this site

It does not surprise me at all that Paul loves this! I can always get behind bands with similar motivations as the beatles, instead of merely copying their sound
