The only step back from free hand is your brains that is not sensitive enough to understand the masterpiece. It is the best gentle giant album and the reaction is very understandable. It took me much more time to love this album then free hand for example. This what happens when the songs get extra good.instead of opening your mouth go listen to the album 400 more times. The review is a garbage. It is the very oposite of what you say. I oost my head is the most apealing to ear the track that you will understand very quickly for give it back timing design it takes another 1000 listening. It frinds my brains at sucks the energy out. There is nothing more complex then this. Maybe the leyboard parts are a little bit simple but the whole piece is the kost difficult. Dont listen to this preak listen to the album. The best ever album

The t/t really puts me in a good mood. It's on a lower level but this album is still classic GG, definitely

''Empty City'' and ''Timing'' are the songs that lower my rating. Both songs have their moments though ..''Timing'' in particular. So I'm close to a 4.5.

Don't understand why this is seen as a big drop off. Every song has something going for it, especially the bookend tracks. Fits in well with their other high quality mid 70s stuff.
