Awesome review and album. The bonus track In Florida is actually one of my favorites on this haha

This isn't even close to the quality of Common Courtesy.

I'm just not feeling this, honestly. It feels like a watered down version of their past two albums thrown together.

Why is the production so bad on this? It saps all the energy out of it. And Jeremy sounds bored, like he couldn't be bothered to actually put some effort into his singing. Disappointing.

Was gonna say. The production is horrible. Thought it was just Spotify.

yeah its a premium exclusive thing, though i haven't actually tested to see whether there's a difference. I've never had complaints with the sound quality on Spotify vs downloads elsewhere or CDs though

Yeah, the production is horrendous--no idea how anyone thought this would be remotely passable in 2016. The instruments seem to gain and lose presence in the mix at random.

Still not sure whether I like this or their last one more though.

Album's fantastic and might climb to a 4.5 for me.

the production is horrendous [1]

Besides that I'm enjoying this album a lot. there's a few stinkers but otherwise it's a good album with a few standouts. Solid 3.5, maybe even a 4.

Also I very much appreciate the piano sprinkled in. Very well used.

Band can die in a bus crash/brush fire/mass shooting/air balloon explosion/zeppelin deflation/rafter collapse/serial stabbing/studio suicide bomb/heat stroke outbreak.
