I saw that Best of the Beatles documentary. Half of it is a bunch of random Pete Best acquantences(?) praising Pete's drum skills every five minutes. This Message Edited On 06.03.06

Yes, it was a documentary of poor quality. The best part was when the credits came. Didn't Pete Best produce it too? If he did that's a bit sad.

The film was a Best Wishes production, and yes, it was Executive Produced by Pete Best.

Haha I knew it.

Damn, Pete's pathetic. I actually own the thing, and the first thing you hear when you put it on is "That's a load of bollocks about Pete not being a good drummer" and other satements of that ilk. This Message Edited On 06.03.06

I've Just Seen a Face might be the best Beatles song. Top 5, at least.

you've got to hide your love away is my second favorite beatles song, after strawberry fields

youve got to hide your love away is pretty cool but its definitely not their second best, not even the
best on this album (help, the night before, ticket to ride, (maybe) you're gonna lose that girl, and,
um, FUCKIN YESTERDAY are all better)
a lil TOO dylan-y (though i love dylan)
|
| |
yesterday's overrated.
help is the jam, ticket to ride is nice but gets a bit bland, you're gonna lose that girl is great but I don't enjoy it as much as you've got to hide your love away.
a lot of the beatles early pop songs, while brilliantly written, didn't seem to be really passionate, but I find Lennon to sound really earnest and a bit pained on you've got to hide your love away.
