On first listen, I got a feeling this is gonna take some time even though I'm not dissapointed in the slightest so far

Digging this even though their previous album was better. The first track is incredible here.

Actually don't much care for the first track. Our the last one. Everything else is pretty top notch though.

It's weird 'cause I like the first and last track the most. Black Majesty is also great.

I've never listened to this band before but I jammed the first two tracks on this yesterday and I thought it was really great

First 3 tracks are superb, Took a while to really hit home. Last 2 are pretty meh. Its hard for any band coming off such a monsterous last release

im not a pro music reviewer or anything, but i enjoyed the album a lot! it'll be amazing to listen to it in the fall/winter time while reading a new book. Just sets me in a good mood with the melodies and lyrics. To each there own.

This was pretty solid despite not having a track that made me in a state of awe like "The Usher" from the last LP

The opener is truly, truly exceptional. The entire album is brilliant, but the dark feeling which permeates the guitar parts of 'Despair Is A Siren' put my neckhairs on end.

i want to like this a lot more than i do, i especially love the string sections, but i'm honestly just not that keen on her voice ]:

Seems to be a general feeling with people i know who even love the band. They kind of want to like it more than they do or dont quite connect with it. It took me at least 15 listens for it to start paying off really. I can see how some people arent down with it tbh. (never minded her voice though, think its a perfect fit)

her voice is fine in parts - kinda ineffective at times tho

it just seems like the only part of the music that hasn't improved at all with the rest of the instrumentation, the music used to be very rough around the edges (much like her voice (not an insult, btw)), but now due to how the music has become tighter it just kind of sticks out.

Jamming this, second half onwards, from Black Majesty is shaping up very nicely.

Black majesty is just that. My fave track on the record. Think this didn't resonate with some because of the night of the previous record but its a great album.
