Ok so here goes my opinion... Siamese Dream used to be my favorite Pumpkins album for the longest time but with the band I noticed that the more I go back in time with them the better the music gets. I know Ill probably get killed for saying this but I cant deny that Gish is wayyy more hard core and heavier than Siamese Dream. Theres something about the playing in Gish that defines Ambition! for 1991 nirvana must have been shitting there pants hearing them play...they say that nirvana influenced smashing pumpkins but honestly I think just the opposite....Gish also features a psychedelic tone which I believe is the true sound of the pumpkins. Siamese Dream is amazing but I think it was too influenced by other bands at that point...
