First of all, just because I like a band, doesn't mean I'm a "fanboy" as you would say. Second of all, this review is not biased. Had I never heard of Chevelle, it would be the same review. At the end of the day, good music is good music. If you have an opinion then review it and stop bashing my review. That would be the professional thing to do. Don't like my review, then go write your own. Plain and simple.

Also, just so everyone on here knows, I don't write reviews just for likes and popularity like most people do on Sputnik. I write them because I actually legitimately enjoy writing them. I'm passionate about good music and it shows with the way I review. So I really don't care much about the opinions of others. Just wanted to clarify so everyone knows that their negative opinions aren't really doing much for anyone. Lol.

You wouldn't post a review on a website like this if you didn't want others to read it. Don't pretend it's "just for you" simply because you received feedback that did something other than pat you on the back.

but sputnik LOVES chevelle have you not seen the averages for their albums? people dont like your review because its super premature (this album just came out today, no?) and it has the articulation of someone wanting to gush over it instead of having constructive praise or criticism. both of these points very constructive pieces of advice for you, as it reflects in your writing as a whole. which is very weak, underutilized, and kind of scatterbrained in my eyes.

but hey, if you want to have your head in a bubble (ie:your ass) then by all means do so. just dont sit there and wonder why people are giving you shit or negging your reviews from this point forward.

As stated before, I don't really care what everyone thinks of my review. It's staying up unless Sputnik decides to take it down. I wanted to write a review about an album I legitimately think is classic. All the rest doesn't really matter.

Nobody said anything about taking it down, only you, and why would we do that simply because we disagree? I haven't even heard this album and I am not pro or anti Chevelle. Personally, other than misspelling grungy and some paragraph spacing issues, I don't think this is tremendously fanboyish (perhaps a tiny biased/hyperbolic, but nothing wrong with that when you're passionate about something). What turns me off is your attitude towards people who are trying to help you improve as a writer. You can deflect all that, but you'll never get any better than you are now, which at the moment is just okay.
