"also why do people keep talking about summer months as if they are the same for everyone?"
Ha because if you live in the northern hemisphere, everyone lives in the northern hemisphere

The album is incredibly boring. Die hard fans will listen to it thousands time and find something to like but others should really avoid this

I probably love this record because I don't love Katatonia. Not finding it boring at all. It is a tad too long, but the songs are fantastic individually. Loved it from first listen.

I love Katatonia, and I love this record.

Haven't even heard the whole thing yet.
I always have to play Vektor at some point, because I'd rather fly around the universe than contemplating suicide.
But the first couple of songs are great.

I think NITND and DEK are slightly better and more consistent, but this grows on you and is pretty good. It is less to-the-point than both of those albums which is both good and bad at times. It does drag in a couple songs IMO but for the most part everything works. Enjoyable album.

This reads more like a 4.5 but it's excellently written anyway.

Album is excellent for sure, sticking a 4 on it for now. I think my favorite song on here is Last Song Before the Fade; Jonas' vocal delivery is fantastic. Takeover, The Night Subscriber, and Passer are all top tier Katatonia as well.

I'll bump, this seems like a grower honestly. Serein is my fav on this by far it's incredible. Jamming hard to lots of Katatonia today xD

2016 is the year of the 'too long' album. This thread is gonna read exactly like the James Blake thread with people raving about it versus people saying it's too long or boring.

I can't recall any standout moments, but this is an album I believe that acts better as a collective whole. Enjoyed it a lot.

Renkse's vague, stream of consciousness lyricism is just Engrish enough to be irritating. Rating may get bumped down later.
Another "Yeah, it's alright." album down, a bunch more to go.
