eh, I guess I've just never been that big on Saosin. Anthony Green is the only reason I'm interested in this one.

good review btw.

Circa Survive's last one is just a hair behind BSN for me

Their worst album imo. Maybe it will grow on me, only listened through the whole once so far. Too much Crica Survive influence making everything sound slow paced and less intriguing, with a bunch of forced screams shoehorned into it.

>Circa has released too many albums over the last few years. violent noise and descensus were pretty pointless records

thank you.

I always thought I should like Circa a lot more than I actually do. Nothing they've done has every really stuck out to me.

Have never been able to get into this guys voice. If I can get used to it the album could be a solid 3/5.

bsn is horrendously overrated and on letting go is miles better imo. that said, i have enjoyed all of their albums to varying degrees.

as for this, this is pretty alright. idk, their ep and s/t are wayyyyy better

Gyro speaking the truth about On Letting Go, props. Descensus was great too

I've been enjoying this a good bit, it's not some massive return to form or anything, but it's fun, and mostly just nice to hear these dudes make music again

Every album Circa has made is a 4 or better. Juturna, On Letting Go, Blue Sky Noise, Violent Waves, and Descensus are all fantastic. BSN overrated? Through the Desert Alone is a fucking beast of a song. Get Out features some of Green's best vocals. Chill with the false accusations fam.

Saosin as a group have a completely different musical style than what Circa have created over the years. Honestly don't know how someone can like this more over any Circa album. This does throw back to Green's post-hardcore days when The Sound Of Animals Fighting made some fantastic records tho.

circa survive has sucked since blue sky noise starting with blue sky noise

it can't be overrated either bc that would imply it was recieved well critically or sold well enough that the label didn't put them on probation

For someone who hates Circa Survive so much, you sure like talking about them a whole lot Kevin. You don't seem to miss a review or news story that involves Anthony Green. That's some serious dedication man!

circa were poised to do something decently interesting after OLG but they chose to nose dive off of a cliff into another cliff

ppl are noting similarities of this album's music to circa on every single review
