"All the singles from this album have finally pushed the Raditude single off the top 10 Weezer songs on Spotify. Moral 5 just for that."

Awesome, always love the feedback - thanks man. If you liked EWBARITE you'll really enjoy this as well. It's more fun & consistent in my opinion.

Fantastic review, fantastic album. I have oddball preferences when it comes to Weezer, with EWBAITE as my all-time favorite, but this is almost as good, if not better. Just awesome stuff. When you mention how effortless it all seems, that's spot-on.

I'm pleasantly surprised you love this Sowing. Then again, with Rivers emphasizing the Beach Boys influence on this record, I probably shouldn't be TOO surprised ;)

It's not that odd of an opinion. I'm guessing you got into Weezer late? Like you probably heard Blue and Pinkerton long after their releases, so their more recent stuff was the first chance you had to actually experience a new Weezer album? Just guessing. What I described was basically the case for me...I was only 7 when the Blue Album came out, so I lean towards their recent material unless it's their "classics" i.e. Pinkerton & Blue.

I grew up listening to Pet Sounds on car rides etc. so anything that is reminiscent of them in a good way usually gets a favorable nod from me.

Yeah, Everything was the first "new" Weezer album that I ever really cared about. Blue and Pinkerton were a bit before my time as far as popular culture is concerned. So yeah you were actually 100% right, high five.

Easy to recognize because it was the case for me. Got into Weezer in high school and Red was the first I got excited for at the time of its release -- but everything they did was at least a moderate letdown until Everything & White.

im probably the weird case cause raditude was my first weezer before going through their back catalog and i still feel blue and pink are on another level than their other stuff, but this and everything come pretty damn close

Just finished listening. Solid 4.5 in my book. Every single track was great. It's too hard for me to rank EWBAITE, White Album, and Pinkerton. Blue Album is definitely my favorite, though.

First Weezer song I ever heard was I'm Your Daddy. A milestone that truly none of their work can ever transcend.

This is really good but I can't say it beats EWBAITE

I can.

EWBAITE has some very strong moments (Ain't Got Nobody, Back to the Shack, The British are Coming) but this is like, a half-notch below those tracks except from start to end with no weak links. And I'd argue that a couple of these songs are even better than EWBAITE's best.

Both are great, though.

Excellent review. I have absolutely no idea why Thank God For Girls was panned by people.

Still, I would say this is their 5th great album; I enjoy the Green Album too.

L.A. Girlz is their best song in over a decade

I like this atleast as much as Pinkerton and MAYBE it might be on the same level as Blue for me someday

Ah so this is why CLOVER's review wasn't featured haha. Great review though Sowing. You explain the album really well.

Still an awesome album, already listened to it 4 times and it failed to wipe the smile off my face each time, but there is no way this LP is better than Pinkerton. That album is considered the zenith of Weezer's career. Blue is a close 2nd.

@con, I figured a staff had a review up their sleeve. Not that I mind, got a lot of hype over on my review which is good enough for me.

Nah that makes sense I was just kinda clueless why your review wasn't featured cuz it's a big release and a great review but it makes more sense to have a featured staff review.

Anybody else love Wind In Our Sail almost as much as the two tracks after it? Every song on this just keeps getting better.
