Enjoyed this a lot. Vocals reminded me a bit of Thrice and Muse.

ahhh glad I am not the only one who heard a bit of Muse in the vocals! thought i was crazy lol

I could be wrong but I remember his band being Christian, sinternet you should hate this

"not really into post-rock stuff "
This isn't really post-rock, so don't worry.
It's growing on me. Black Hole and Bloodlines are the obvious standouts so far

'Listened up to the title track and have came back to the first few songs. I loved Garden Window but what I've heard is kind of meh'
The second half od this is what really clicked with me and the front-end has followed suit ever since.

that's their first tag so I didn't know they weren't post-rock. either way im really liking this stuff

Well their earlier stuff might be post-rockish but I haven't listened to them yet so I'm not sure.
|

This sounds pretty cool, not crazy about the vocals all the time but the atmosphere and instrumentals are really engaging

fortunately unlike you i am able to see past someone's religion and focus on the actual people
most of my family is Christian and up until a couple of years ago so was I - I don't hate anyone based on religion/race/sex/gender - only political beliefs and attitudes/behaviour
besides someone's religion has no effect on their ability to play or write good music

You'll get used to the vocalist. He's great. I wasn't keen on him initially, but he mixes it up seamlessly and takes more risks than a lot of other singers.

I totally agree with whoever compared this to The End's Elementary earlier.
Obviously if you just distilled out the mellow parts, but that's exactly the album that comes to mind every time I turn this on.
Going to go with a 4 for now but might raise my rating in the future.

even though i'm some big bacon rasher in waiting, i louvre this album, it's jusch scho ghhoourd-- his vocals on here are the best they've ever been, such kicking instrumentation, glorious production, atmosphere and concept-- dis is rawk done right, yes my human friends these are some bad motherfuckers over here
|
| |
"fortunately unlike you i am able to see past someone's religion and focus on the actual people
"
Oh, but I can certainly look past someones religion, as I've stated numerous times. I condemn the ideology not the person.
Glad you can too

Idk, I was going to check this out, but the muse comparisons (vocals) put me off a little bit

No, it's a very subtle comparison. I see what they're saying, but it is only in a few brief instances, nothing constant. This does not sound like Muse.
