I loved this album. Zayn's vocals are beautiful and some of the best in the game right now. It saddens me how underrated his voice is. I liked this album both for his vocals and the production by Malay. This is no basic pop album, the entire vibe is slick and polished. Compared to Zayn's contemporaries such as Bieber this album is miles ahead.

theres more to writing a song than just "i wrote words" and its not some kind of common norm for a pop artist to have 0 writing credits. In fact, almost every pop artist will have a "writing" credit, but the other writers credited (which in this albums case, range anywhere from 2-8) can be responsible for taking Malik's rough idea of lyrics and turning them into comprehensible bangers, composition writing, editing, or just being present at the writing session.
its not safe to assume, especially for an artist like Zayn who has been up until this point a manufactured product, that he wrote every little thing by himself because he most likely didnt.
