A Kind of Magic was OK Jiggly, but quite a few duff tracks, good singles and Princess of the universe....but Gimme the Prize and Don't Lose your Head are pretty shit

I can't disagree more with you, MrFahrenheit. In my humble opinion, Hot Space is the worst album of Queen. It's even worst than Flash Gordon. For me, it has only three good songs, which are Life Is Real (Song For Lennon), "Las palabras De Amor" and "Under Pressure. The rest is in general very awful. It's seems to me more a disco album that a real pop/rock album, in the good old traditional Queen's sound.

So and despite I like very much of Made In Heaven, a very emotional album, for me, it's perfectly clear that the last great album from Queen is Innuendo.

Cheers.

Ok, SirLord. I've nothing against disco music. I even like of many disco themes. But I dislike very much that a band like Queen made an album like this. Queen never was a disco band. And I also think it lacks to it quality enough to be considered a good album. This is my opinion, dude.

Cheers.

I don't think it is a disco album lol, its just a different album from their 70s stuff. But we all have an opinion, that's the great thing about music I guess, if someone likes something, to them its good

Ok. This album has really nothing to do with their 70's stuff and I can admit that my preferences for their music go to that phase. Perhaps that is due to my "prog rib". However, I like of almost all they made in the 80's and 90's, with the exception of Flash Gordon and Hot Space.

About Flash Gordon I even can understand the album because is a soundtrack of a movie and it has good and interesting musical moments. My only problem with the album are the persistent dialogue taken from the movie in the middle of the music that became somehow irritating and annoying along the album.

About Hot Space, I dislike the album simply because it doesn't sounds to me as Queen's album. It's too much different and too much strange to my ears and taste.

Anyway, I've nothing against bands or artists that change the sound of their albums or even that change their type of music. After all, for a prog fan, like me, that is one of the main characteristics that we love in the prog and in the music in general, the constant change is the salt of the music.

So, I agree with you Mr Fahrenheit. The differences and the different tastes are one of the most important things in music. After all, we are only talking about music, don't we?

Yeah I agree E, its always good to discuss and debate. I agree with your comments regarding Flash Gordon, have to say its an album I've not played for over 20 years and probably wouldn't bother playing again.
