Tales was more progressive, this is more oriental, albeit in a safe, less metallic way. Because of that, Tales left a stronger impression. It had spite and vigor. Legacy is the kind of album I'd offer to someone if they want to take baby steps towards getting into metal, but for a proper taste, I'd give them Tales.
