Andacht is pretty solid I guess but even then its still their peak imo

Yeah I really like the vocals on this. They sound tortured. Also his Golem choking sounds are superb.

I think rating something below a 3 based off vocals alone is kind of petty... but not my rating system so w/e.

well if the vocals make this album unenjoyable for him then a low score is perfectly appropriate

He seems to have found the merit in the music itself but gave this a 2.5 for the vocals alone, which seems unfair to me.

Went through quite a bit of BM last year, so I'm a little burned out on it maybe, but I certainly want to look at this. Took a swing and if that's not an aggressive opener, I don't know what is. I think it'd be worth jamming this just to see where they could possibly go from there.

Not your typical bm fare either tbh, I think you'll find it somewhat refreshing if you've been listening to the standard Norwegain-inspired stuff

I listened to the stuff that Sput went nuts over last year, namely Scar Sighted and the Dreaming I. Also some Havukruunu. Right now I'm very invested with the new Chthe'ilist, but I'll be sure to give this a spin or two later. It's a pretty short disc.

How's that Krallice album A?

VERY good. Haven't heard any of their previous stuff yet so I can't make any judgements there, but their compositional ability is excellent and the vocals are just about that unhinged side of human. Definitely recommend it :]
