I've got Rest Among Ruins' debut EP/demo The Depths on CD and it's crazy how different it is from the full-length. more traditional and generic melodic metalcore pretty similar to this actually, although honestly not that great aside from the vocals

Mike Smesky is one of my favorite vocalists just for how well he manages to use the different styles he uses. He dropped an album this year called The Fall of Ides and its amazing how much his vocals improved over the course of a year. He seems to always outdo himself with each passing record, honestly.

check The Agony Scene's first couple albums if you want some melodic metalcore that's way heavier and darker. love those albums, especially the vocals
