Gavin's sense of melody was amazing as well - after a secon spin of this many of the melodies are already ingrained.

I still have yet to hear Evangelist or any of the Clayhill stuff, but I'm in no rush.

I'm loving that Evangelist Gav is so different, shows he also had a great voice for Primal Scream-esque indie-dance stuff and Morrison / Lanegan style doomy poetry

Evangelist is at least a 4/5 for me

This album is the equivalent of one of your mates who you have known for years suddenly picking up a guitar out of the blue and saying 'I've done a couple of tunes, don't take the piss' then ripping into something that takes you completley by surprise and ends up in you crying and him taking the piss out of you.

Best thing ever.

It's the only thing that gripes me about it all seems a bit polished and bolted on and you don't know where the real Gav is. It's still great though.

I'm not the biggest fan of your Kasabians and Primal Screams but despite sharing a lot of common ground with those type of bands the Evangelist still wins me over, I think there's enough classic Gav on there to deliver
