nah, pogs were dead before 2000.
|
| |
The film doesn't really hold up and it was never really that good in the first place but I suppose some people find it really nostalgic.
|
| |
the movie rules
|
| |
man i remember the bumpers of cartoon network where all of the cartoon characters went to the theaters and shit
|
| |
Oh yeah, I remember those too. They still do them sometimes I think, but with their current CN rosters since they pretty much lost the entire HB IP.
|
| |
mang i never watch tv anymore so i wouldnt know
|
| |
I don't remember anything from the soundtrack, but this is pretty good stuff. In retrospect seeing the first movie in theatres was insane, probably the most hype event ever.
|
| |
i saw Pokemon 4ever in theaters when i was a wee lad.
it sucked.
|
| |
jam poke2000
|
| |
sucks for you clover missing the fad at it's peak
|
| |
the pokemon fad? its in like a new age renaissance right now tbh.
not so much the card games, but the video games sure as hell are.
|
| |
You'd be surprised but the card game is alive and flourishing. You could probably find a release tournament near you every couple of months. The game is constantly growing and it has a pretty large fan base in several age groups. I don't understand it, but it's there.
|
| |
Nah it's pretty much on the decline. Look at the video games sales for every major game.
|
| |
It was also on the decline until they did Heartgold and Soulsilver. Once they do a massive refurbishment of Red and Blue they'll rope in all of their nostalgic fans again.
|
| |
Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire – 16.22 million
Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen – 12 million
Pokémon Black 2/White 2 – 7.81 million
Pokémon Diamond/Pearl – 17.63 million
Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver – 12.72 million
Pokémon Black/White – 15.58 million
Pokémon X and Y – 13.29 million
decline?
|
| |
Black and White 2 had significantly poorer sales
|
| |
nintendo didnt exactly give Black/White 2 a proper advertising campaign. Unlike other pokemon titles that were pushed to the brim. It also probably doesnt help that it was released right at the end of the DS life cycle and when consumers were waiting for the 3DS incarnation of Pokemon.
|
| |
Fair.
|
| |
Why are you posting sequels. I'm talking about the main games it has been a general decline, outside of a slight resurgence in d/p. The core fanbase is getting older and the games aren't having as much grip with the younger generation anymore.
|
| |
"Why are you posting sequels. I'm talking about the main games it has been a general decline"
Did you mean spin-offs? because usually when the term sequel is used the thing for which it is labeled as is part of the main series.
