This has always been my least favorite ToT record. Just strikes me as monotonous, and the meandering vocal parts don't do a whole lot for me. Kristine has a great voice, but her vocal melodies are rather rote. I've tried many times over the years to get into it, but I guess it's just not to my taste, lol

Didn't know there are people favoring the electro/gothic over the gothic/doom/death metal period of the band, guess the metal factor plays a part in that.

I used to be a big fan of various types of electronic/goth stuff, but I could never get into those albums.



But this/debut/Aegis are where it's at. I also enjoy their later albums with Nell Sigland, particularly Forever is the World, but not as much as this.
