fucking shit album but it's swans....what did you expect

worship is a bit of hyperbole, but she is insanely popular which is sweet but it's odd because at first glance you wouldn't think her music is the type to become viral, but i guess it resonates with a lot of people, lyrically especially
|
| |
so is carly rae jepsen and nickelback that doesnt make them good and that doesnt mean real people like them

As a big fan of 21, this is pretty much a dissapointment.
|
| |
not saying it makes her good at all, i think her music is boring af. just saying it's surprising is all. like, crj is borderline bubblegum pop so it makes sense and nickelback is nickelback i dont even wanna try to understand that lol

|
| |
naw, i cant even remember a single line from her new song despite hearing it everywhere for the past month
|
| |
oh hey so glad i wont be subjected to this 24/7 at work like the last one
|
| |
"literally know zero people who worship her music
literally
maybe less even"
I wish I could say the same but everywhere I look, people are flipping the fuck out over how amazing she is.

21 was a breath of fresh air to a lot of people. Like Key said, something resonated.

especially for the time it came out, 2011 was kind of a wasteland as far as mainstream music went and music sales were at a horrible low. so when you get something as "real" sounding and pure as Adele coming out of the blue, the reaction is overwhelmingly large.
|
| |
cl0ver u are talking out your ass soooo hard. maybe the sales low thing is true i wouldnt know tbh but it could also be bullshit as well for all i know but all the rest of that lmao
|
| |
mainstream music was pretty terrible in 2011 tho for sure. that was when it was all bruno mars-core, yikes
|
| |
2011 had last friday night, fuck you, and...and...

Ehhh, you had a lot of big names in 2011, sure, but sales were pretty bad save for about 5 artists who hit 1 million units. Adele was pretty much credited as bringing album sales in the UK and US at their highest in 11 years.
but yeah, i may of been pulling some of that out of my ass.
|
| |
2011 was literally almost identical to now. that was 4 years ago not a decade ago, not much has changed. same shitty pop stars and rappers and alt bands.
