I know Point/Counterpoint is the fan favorite, but I think Here's to Life is just freaking awesome.

wow, i saw Streetlight Manifesto here in Germany. They are a KICK ASS band. AMAZING live. here's why:

1) the power went out during the show for about 15 minutes. the guitars and vocals obviously stopped. Chris just started jammin' out on drums and the brass/saxs jumped right in soloing their asses off. it was insane! not even lack of electricity stops these guys!

2) i met quite a few of htem after the show and they chatted with me and my friends for an hour or two. Mostly talked to the bassist. They have a great bunch of guys.

3) their energy the entire show was amazing!

4) they play small gigs. imagine the size of your living room, now double it in width and triple it in length... that was the size of the venue. the stage was only about two feet high making it easy to get up on stage, skank a little, and stage dive ontop of the packed crowd.

5) they kick ass.

Good record. But Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution are better.

I find this album to be simultaneously resoundingly anthemic and energetic, but also quite wistful and sad. An excellent album that I expect I'll always treasure.

im not sure if this review is a great example of how this album is.....i think the horn work is excellently done...i think the vox are aweosme....its kinda hard to play awesome guitar riffs when your singing a million miles a minute and the guitar is part of the rhythym section in the first place so why would it be catchy..this is ska ..i think this could be better done..i think every song on this album deserves alot more credit bc each and every one is AMAZING

I didn't know ska well, and when I heard of it, I was not willing to try to like it. Well, thanks a lot Streetlight Manifesto. Now I'm hooked on ska! Favorite Songs:
That'll Be The Day
The Saddest Song
Everything Went Numb
Point/Counterpoint
You get the point... Streetlight is amazing.

1) if you want some good less than jake get either Pezcore or Losing Streak, its sorta like the difference between the first No Doubt cd and "hollaback girl"

2) Streetlight still blows LTJ out of the water anyways

3) If and When we rise again is the most underrated song, probably my favorite with point/countrpoint and everything goes numb

4) if streetlight or BOTAR dont come out with something soon im gonna get pissed

5) Tomas Kalnoky is my favorite songwriter and maybe even deserves the title of "musical genius"

ok im done nowThis Message Edited On 04.03.06
